Algarve Tourism Spot Wins International Award
The promotional video "Algarve. As férias que tu mereces" (Algarve. The Vacation You Deserve), promoted by Turismo do Algarve, has been honored with the 2nd prize ex-aequo in the "Tourist Destinations – Regions" category at the ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival 2025. The award ceremony took place on Friday, September 12, in Fundão.
This 30-second film, part of a digital communication campaign launched in August 2024 in Portugal and Andalusia, showcases iconic scenes from the region and authentic leisure moments, inviting viewers to experience unforgettable vacations in the Algarve. Produced by New Light Pictures, the spot emphasizes the area's diverse and sustainable offerings.
In November, the campaign expanded to national television, reinforcing the promotion of the Algarve beyond the beach season and highlighting it as an authentic, year-round destination with unique experiences.
André Gomes, President of Turismo do Algarve, stated: "This award confirms the quality of the Algarve's promotional communication and reinforces the destination as much more than just sun and sea, ready to provide memorable experiences throughout the year."
The ART&TUR Festival, held this year in Fundão, is one of the most prestigious international events dedicated to tourism cinema, bringing together audiovisual productions from dozens of countries and awarding the best tourism promotion campaigns globally.
