April Showers Expected: Rain Returns to Minho This Week!

April, known for its showers, is set to live up to its reputation once again! After several days of sunshine and mild temperatures in late March, the rain is predicted to return to the Minho region starting Wednesday and is expected to last through the weekend.

Weather Forecast

According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), maximum temperatures will see a significant drop. Today in Braga, temperatures will reach 26°C, but will fall to 21°C tomorrow and further to 19°C by Friday.

Minimum temperatures will also decrease, going from 10°C to 7°C, but are anticipated to rise again by Friday.

In Viana do Castelo, maximum temperatures will decrease from 24°C today to 17°C on Friday, while minimums will remain relatively stable around 12°C, with a slight drop between Wednesday and Thursday.

Upcoming Weather Changes

The sunny days will soon come to an end. Today’s clear skies and summer-like temperatures will give way to more cloudiness tomorrow, accompanied by falling maximums. The rain will return on Wednesday, ease up on Thursday, and intensify again on Friday.

According to the IPMA forecast, precipitation is expected to continue into Saturday, with only light drizzles anticipated on Sunday.
