A Musical Tribute to Camões
This Monday, Cante Alentejano, Fado, and Morna will come together in an extraordinary concert at the Teatro Tivoli BBVA to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Camões. This event marks the 10th edition of the Concerto Primavera, organized by the Casa Pia de Lisboa.
A Collaborative Performance
The concert will feature the Orquestra de Cordas and Coro da Casa Pia de Lisboa, alongside the Cantares de Évora choir, renowned Fado singer Pedro Calado, and Cape Verdean artist Lura. The Casa Pia's mission is to provide its students with privileged access to artistic expression, particularly through music.
National Awareness Campaign
During the performance, an official video will be shown as part of a national campaign. This initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity, and Social Security, in collaboration with three entities managing the family support system, aims to inform the public and recruit potential foster families. The objective is to strengthen the support network for children and youth who need a safe and structured family environment.
