Cold Weather Advisory in Portugal
Lisbon, Setúbal, and Santarém are among six districts in mainland Portugal currently under a yellow weather alert due to cold temperatures, as announced by the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) on Monday evening.
The alert for Bragança, Guarda, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisbon, and Castelo Branco is valid until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, due to the persistence of low minimum temperature values.
On Tuesday, maximum temperatures are expected to range from 15°C in Sagres, Frao, and Setúbal to 8°C in Guarda. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 7°C in Faro and -4°C in Guarda and Bragança.
Starting from 12:00 AM on Wednesday, three additional districts, Portalegre and Évora, will also enter the yellow alert until 10:00 AM on Thursday, as detailed by the IPMA.
The yellow alert, the least severe on a scale of three, is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk to activities dependent on weather conditions.
