After the first stage was cancelled due to irregularities during the finish in Lagos, this stage connected Lagoa to Alto da Fóia, covering a distance of 177.6 kilometers. Belgian cyclist Laurens de Plus from INEOS finished third, trailing by seven seconds.
At just 20 years old, Christen is now leading the competition with a four-second advantage over Almeida, while De Plus sits in third place, 13 seconds behind.
