Promoting Algarve's Wine Identity

The Algarve Wine Commission (CVA) has been intensifying its presence at major national and international events, enhancing the recognition of Algarve wines and establishing the region as a key wine destination.

With a strategic agenda for 2025, the CVA is committed to promoting the identity and quality of Algarve wines through participation in fairs, training sessions, and initiatives that boost the sector.

Upcoming Events to Look Forward To

The CVA has already participated in events such as FITUR and Wine & Travel Week, with more opportunities on the horizon to showcase Algarve wines to professionals and consumers.

  • Training Session at the PortimĂŁo School of Hospitality and Tourism (February 25): A technical session aimed at students and restaurant professionals to enhance knowledge and appreciation of regional wines.
  • Visit from the Sommelier Delegation of the Portuguese Association of Sommeliers (February 24-25): An immersive experience to deepen recognition of Algarve wines in hospitality.
  • FINE – Wine Tourism Expo (March 4-5, Valladolid, Spain): One of Europe's largest wine tourism gatherings, where the CVA will reinforce Algarve's status as a wine destination.
