Windstar Cruises' New Vessel Gets a Fresh Look

Windstar Cruises has recently unveiled its new Star Seeker, which received a fresh coat of paint at the West Sea shipyard in Portugal in early December. This stunning 224-guest ship is scheduled to enter service in late 2025.

A New Era for Windstar

The Star Seeker is now proudly displaying a white hull as part of Windstar’s signature livery. Originally commissioned for Mystic Cruises’ Atlas Ocean Voyages, this vessel is set to debut in December 2025.

Maiden Voyage Details

The 10,000-ton ship will commence its maiden season with a trans-Atlantic crossing to the United States, featuring a 16-night itinerary from Málaga to Miami, including stops in Spain and the Bahamas.

Exciting Future Itineraries

Following its inaugural journey, the Star Seeker will offer a series of cruises in the Caribbean before transitioning to the Pacific for a summer program in Alaska and Canada. By late 2026, the vessel will head to Asia, focusing on destination-rich itineraries in Japan and South Korea.

Luxurious Amenities

Designed specifically for Windstar, the Star Seeker boasts five dining options, a full-service spa, and a fitness facility. A standout feature is its innovative Watersports Platform, transforming the ocean into an infinity pool, allowing guests direct access to the sea.

Expansion of the Fleet

In addition to the Star Seeker, Windstar will welcome a second ship, the Star Explorer, in 2026. This sister ship will undergo a significant refurbishment before its debut, enhancing Windstar's fleet with ice-strengthened hulls that open up new cruising destinations worldwide. Both ships will be equipped with cutting-edge safety, propulsion, and navigation technologies, along with eco-friendly features like tier III NOx-rated engines and shore power connections.
