Ricky Gervais Returns to Lisbon
Ricky Gervais is back in Lisbon for another unparalleled stand-up show. Following the massive success of "Armageddon" in Portugal in 2023, the comedian is set to perform at the largest venue in the country, the Meo Arena, with his new show titled "Mortality". This performance will tackle themes of life and death because, as Gervais states, "we're all going to die".
"We’re all going to die. So, we might as well laugh about it. 'Mortality' discusses life and death. Bring it on," reads the synopsis of the show, scheduled for February 27, 2025.
Ticket Sales and Pricing
Although the show is still a few months away, ticket sales have already begun. An exclusive pre-sale for MEO and MOCHE customers started on October 9 and will last until the end of the day on October 10, with general sales opening on October 11 at 10 AM. Here are the ticket prices:
- €50 for Balcony 2
- €65 for Balcony 1
- €80 for Balcony 0
- €70 for A seating
- €90 for VIP seating
All seats are reserved.
Hurry, Tickets are Selling Fast!
Act quickly, as the pre-sale tickets are disappearing fast! Some sections in the Meo Arena have already limited availability, particularly for groups of three or more. Notably, VIP seating is completely sold out in pre-sale, and the remaining Balcony 0 tickets are priced at €80.
It remains unclear how many tickets will be available during the general sale, as the pre-sale is limited to specific seats. Thus, while some areas are nearly sold out, the full ticket inventory has yet to be released.
Similar to "Armageddon," which won a Golden Globe, topped Netflix's movie list, and set the record for the highest-grossing comedy show, "Mortality" will also be filmed for streaming. This means those unable to attend can still enjoy the performance on screen.
Ricky Gervais is the co-creator and star of hit series such as "The Office" (2001), "Extras" (2005), "Life's Too Short" (2011), "Derek" (2012), and more recently, "After Life" (2019).
