Health Ministry's Electric Fleet

Vehicles Awaiting Activation

These 81 vehicles were intended to support patients, yet they have been inactive for over a month. Reports indicate that the current cars do not ensure safety, making it urgent for the new vehicles to be put into operation.

Despite the availability of the vehicles, there are no chargers for the electric cars. Nurses have expressed concerns about the lack of planning and coordination between the Local Health Unit and local authorities.

It’s worth noting that the public tender for fleet electrification was launched in the second half of 2023, mediated by SPMS (Shared Services of the Ministry of Health), resulting in the acquisition of 53 BYD vehicles distributed across the country.
