  • The aim is to enhance the efficiency and quality of emergency care.

Emergency Services Update in Lisbon

In a significant move for the healthcare system, two emergency services in the Lisbon region have been closed. This decision is part of a broader strategy to streamline emergency care in the area.

Changes to Emergency Services

In addition to these closures, 18 other emergency services will now be dedicated exclusively to internal emergencies and cases referred by CODU/INEM and the SNS 24 hotline. This means that only specific cases will be handled at these locations, aiming to enhance the efficiency and quality of care provided to patients in urgent need.
