New Route Launch by easyJet
On October 30, easyJet inaugurated a new route connecting Porto Airport (OPO) to Sal Island (SID), marking a significant addition to the airport's destination list. This new connection not only opens up a route to a new country but also introduces easyJet as the first low-cost airline operating scheduled flights to this destination.
The route will be serviced twice a week, specifically on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using an A320 aircraft. With this new service, easyJet becomes the sole scheduled airline providing flights from Porto to Cape Verde.
To commemorate the first flight, a special gate event was held, featuring a traditional cake cutting and small giveaways for passengers, marking the beginning of this exciting new travel opportunity.
