Grupo Libertas Unveils Four New Real Estate Projects in Algarve
Celebrating two decades of activity in southern Portugal, the Grupo Libertas is set to launch four new real estate projects in Faro, Albufeira, and Loulé, with a total investment of €100 million. The Algarve region represents a significant portion of the group's operations, founded by António Gonçalves.
Among the new developments is the Lux Garden Evo in Faro, featuring 120 residences, which will commence construction next month. Additionally, the group plans to kick off the Unique Albufeira project, comprising 150 units, in February 2025. Next year, they also aim to start a tourist village near the Albufeira Marina, which will include a hotel, along with another new development in Loulé.
“We are immensely proud to have been in the Algarve for 20 years and to have established such a strong presence. The outcome is extremely positive, as we have managed to assert ourselves and become a reference in the real estate sector, being one of the largest players operating in the southern region of the country,” remarks Pascal Gonçalves, the group's administrator.
Over the past two decades, the group has successfully developed 18 real estate projects in the Algarve, delivering over 800 residential units with investments totaling €240 million. Approximately half of these homes have been purchased by residents in the Algarve, while nearly 12% have been acquired by Portuguese citizens living abroad.
In Albufeira, they constructed a residential area from scratch, consisting of 80 houses and 320 apartments known as the Albufeira Design Villas & Apartments. The group states that “other projects are already under construction,” including the Albufeira Garden, which is currently on the market.
In Faro, near the Forum Algarve, the group has recently launched 298 apartments across the Lux Terrace, Panoramic Pool, and Lux Garden condominiums, as mentioned in their press release.
In Lagoa, particularly in Ferragudo, the focus has been on the construction and promotion of family homes, with 64 units completed and 29 more underway, known as the Arade Villas.
The Grupo Libertas, which is 100% Portuguese-owned, employs 90 people and boasts over three decades of experience, primarily concentrating on coastal areas, including Lisbon, Alcochete, Seixal, Albufeira, Lagoa, and Faro.
