New GIRA Stations Open in Lisbon
Lisbon's GIRA bike-sharing network continues to expand with the addition of eight new stations, bringing the total to 185 stations throughout the city. On January 23, EMEL inaugurated these new stations, which include:
- Station 466 at Universidade Católica Portuguesa with 15 docks on Rua Azevedo Neves.
- Largo da Luz in Carnide
- Bairro do Rêgo
- Avenida Álvaro Pais
- Avenida Afonso Costa near the CML Social Services building
- Parada do Alto de São João
- Crossroad of Alameda da Encarnação and Rua da Portela in Olivais
- Station 235 located on Rua da Junqueira in Belém, which previously faced delays in opening.
