Police Capture Impostor

In a dramatic turn of events, the Judicial Police (PJ) apprehended a 56-year-old man in the Lisbon area who was attempting to sell two forged artworks, falsely claiming they were original pieces from renowned artists Paula Rego and Cargaleiro.

The Deception

This individual posed as a medical professional and is suspected of engaging in the forgery and trade of counterfeit paintings by famous artists. His fraudulent activities have reportedly netted him hundreds of thousands of euros.
