Accident Overview
A serious accident involving three vehicles occurred near the exit to Sintra on the IC19, heading from Lisbon to Sintra. The incident left four individuals injured, prompting immediate emergency response.
Casualties and Medical Response
Among the injured, three were transported to the Cascais Hospital. One victim received on-site assistance, while two sustained minor injuries and one was seriously hurt.
Emergency Services Involved
A total of 15 emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene, supported by seven fire engines from the Bombeiros de São Pedro de Sintra, Algueirão, and Alcabideche. Additionally, the Infrastructure of Portugal and Ascendi were also alerted to the situation.
Traffic Impact
The accident caused a temporary traffic blockage in the direction of Lisbon-Sintra, but normal traffic flow has since resumed.
