Lionel Richie Returns to Portugal

After a memorable performance at the Cool Jazz Festival in 2023, the iconic American singer Lionel Richie will be back in Portugal for an electrifying concert in Lisbon. The show is part of his European tour "Say Hello To The Hits", scheduled for July 29, 2025.

Concert Details

Richie's performance will take place at the MEO Arena, marking his return to Portugal following his last show at the Cool Jazz Festival. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, as announced by the producer Ritmos e Blues.

The "Say Hello To The Hits" tour kicks off in Belfast on May 31, covering 16 countries and featuring 27 shows before concluding in Madrid on August 2. According to the promoters, this tour will showcase a new production, never seen before in Europe and the UK, promising a magical homage to Richie's enduring legacy as one of music's greatest composers and entertainers.

Lionel Richie is a multi-award-winning artist with accolades including Grammy Awards, an Oscar, and a Golden Globe. He has sold over 125 million albums worldwide and produced timeless hits like "Hello", "All Night Long", and "We Are The World". Formerly a member of The Commodores, Richie has received numerous honors including the MusicCares Person of the Year in 2016 and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2017.

In 2022, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and received the Icon Award at the American Music Awards. Recently, he co-produced the documentary "The Greatest Night in Pop", which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and topped Netflix's English-language films.
