Lisbon Reclaims Top Spot

Lisbon has once again taken the lead in the 2024 municipal rankings, similar to its performance in 2022 and between 2017 and 2018. This year, the municipality scored 14.4 out of 20, advancing one position from the previous year and improving by 0.5 points, according to Marktest.

Understanding the Municipal Ratings

The municipal ratings are determined by analyzing 39 indicators grouped into three main components: demographic dynamism, economic dynamism, and quality of life. Each indicator is rated on a scale from 1 to 20, based on the municipality's position among the 308 municipalities in the country.
