Strike Announcement

The inspectors and ticket workers of CP – Comboios de Portugal have initiated a strike starting today, which will last until November 3rd. The company is anticipating significant operational disruptions, particularly on October 31st, when the strike will be in full effect for the entire day.

Strike Impact

Partial Strikes on October 27th and 28th

On October 27th and 28th, the strike will be partial, especially impacting Lisbon Urban trains, with notable effects on the Sintra, Azambuja, and Sado lines.

Further Disruptions Expected

From October 28th to 30th, partial strikes are also expected to cause disruptions in Regional/InterRegional services, as well as Urban services in Coimbra and Porto.

Full Strike on October 31st

On October 31st, the strike will be total, affecting all services including Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, Regional/InterRegional, Urban, and International Celta for a full 24 hours. According to a resolution published by the Economic and Social Council (CES), with the exception of long-distance trains, all urban lines in Lisbon and Porto, as well as regional and interregional services, will operate between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM as previously scheduled before the strike announcement.
