A Dream Realized

Simone Morais Pinto, a 17-year-old from Porto, has been passionate about science and space since childhood. Her dream of pursuing a career in aerospace engineering became a reality when she applied for the newly launched program at the Faculty of Engineering of Porto (FEUP).

Outstanding Achievement

This year, the aerospace engineering course had the highest entry average, with the last admitted student scoring 194.5. Simone, however, stood out with an impressive 199.8 average, marking her as the top student of the course. Her results in Mathematics and Physics and Chemistry exams bolstered her confidence in her acceptance.

Balancing Act

Despite the rigorous study schedule of eight hours a day, Simone maintained a balanced lifestyle. She engaged in equestrian lessons, reading, painting, and drawing, which she credits for helping her manage exam stress effectively.

Future Aspirations

Looking ahead, Simone has ambitions to complete her bachelor's degree, master's, and even a PhD in aerospace engineering, possibly aiming for a career at NASA. She also plans to participate in an Erasmus program during her studies, exploring opportunities abroad.
