The majority of Lisbon Metro workers have decided to cancel the partial strike scheduled for this Tuesday following the acceptance of the company’s proposal, aimed at meeting their demands.
Sara Gligó from Fectrans (Federation of Transport and Communications Unions) reported that during a meeting held on Monday night, workers overwhelmingly voted in favor of the company’s proposal, leading to the suspension of strikes.
Additional Suspensions
Gligó also stated that the strike against overtime work and special events, which was already in progress, has been suspended as well. Earlier that day, a majority of the workers had also voted in support of the company’s proposal during a morning assembly.
