Brazilian Young Man Found Safe

Gabriel Monteiro Aranha, a 23-year-old Brazilian, who had been missing since December 10, was found alive on Sunday, December 15, as confirmed by his mother, Renata Monteiro. The news was also shared by his aunt, Raquel Monteiro, through social media.

Born in Curitiba, Gabriel was living in Braga, Portugal, where he was balancing two jobs while studying programming online. He was last seen on December 10, reportedly heading to his mother's house in Viseu for her birthday.

Family Mobilization: The family and friends undertook significant efforts to locate Gabriel, prompting the involvement of the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP). The last cellphone signal from Gabriel was detected near Castro Daire, although a precise location could not be established at that time. Renata had expressed concern prior to his discovery as Gabriel had shown signs of distress and difficulty sleeping in the days leading up to his disappearance.

Concerns Before Disappearance: His wife, Gabriella Ramos, noted that he seemed overwhelmed with work and studies, leading to increased anxiety. Before going missing, Gabriel had mentioned to a friend his intention to travel to Chaves for potential work, though he had not shared this plan with Gabriella.

Gabriel and Gabriella had moved to Portugal seeking a better and safer life, facing challenges during their adaptation but remaining committed to building their future together. Renata described her son as hardworking and dedicated, suggesting that the pressures of daily life may have contributed to his recent struggles.
