PLAY Airlines has officially announced the launch of direct flights from Faro to Iceland, with the inaugural flight set for April 12, 2025. This new route will operate twice a week, every Saturday and Wednesday, until October 29, 2025.
As a low-cost airline, PLAY connects North America with Europe, using Iceland as a central hub. Passengers can take advantage of a unique stopover option, allowing them to explore Iceland for up to ten days at no additional cost before continuing their transatlantic journey.
In North America, PLAY operates flights from several cities, including Baltimore, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Toronto. Since its first flight in June 2021, PLAY has rapidly expanded, now boasting a fleet of ten Airbus A320/321neo aircraft, with an average age of just over two years.
