The Regional Secretary of Equipment and Infrastructure, Pedro Fino, has expressed that he is "at peace" after being interrogated by the Judicial Police in connection with the ongoing 'Ab Initio' investigation. On November 14, his parliamentary immunity was lifted, allowing for the proceedings to continue.
Fino stated, "I am at peace and I know that in the end everything will be clarified," during an interview with the DIÁRIO. Alongside him, other regional secretaries Rogério Gouveia and Pedro Ramos, as well as José Prada, a social-democrat deputy, are also implicated in the case. All individuals involved are under a measure of identity and residence, which is the least severe form of restriction.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation will proceed before any formal charges are filed, with the 'Ab Initio' case first being made public on September 17.
