Pestana Group's New Venture in Comporta
The Pestana Group is making a significant move in the residential tourism sector with the completion of the Pestana Comporta Village Residences. Located just two kilometers from the beach, this new development features 75 accommodation units, each starting at 95 square meters. The project represents a €25 million investment, and all units have already been sold out.
Architectural Design and Integration
Designed by architect Jaime Morais from Dueto Arquitetos, the residences are characterized by their harmonious integration into the Comporta landscape. With whitewashed walls, thatched roofs, and local architectural details, the project exudes an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The exterior areas include pergolas for shade and a pool inspired by traditional Alentejo tanks.
Additional Amenities
The Pestana Comporta Village Residences also offer additional services such as a reception and a communal gym. After the sale of the properties, the management continues under Pestana Residences, providing hotel-like services including housekeeping, security, and maintenance to enhance the owners' experience and facilitate investment returns.
Strategic Expansion Plans
José Roquette, the chief development officer of Pestana Hotel Group, emphasizes the group's ambition to continue investing along the Alentejo coast and strengthen its presence in the Algarve. The brand is also exploring opportunities in regions like the Oeste and potential urban areas.

Following successful projects in Tróia, Comporta, and Brejos da Carregueira, the group is moving forward with new developments in Porto Covo. The Pestana Porto Covo Village is currently under construction and fully sold, while the Pestana Porto Covo Beach Residences are now the top priority.

Roquette highlights that there are still significant growth opportunities within Portugal, focusing on areas where the group can establish a strong presence. Although there is a project in Brazil, international expansion is not currently a priority, as the group aims to concentrate on successful local ventures.
