Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly purchased a vacation home in Portugal, marking their first property in Europe since 2023. The couple, who currently reside in California, decided to expand their real estate portfolio with this new acquisition.

The couple's move also opens the door to Portugal's Golden Visa program, which allows foreign investors to gain residency through significant contributions to the country's economy, such as real estate investments. This program offers a range of benefits including residency, education, healthcare, and the ability to travel freely within the EU.

Royal Connections in Portugal

Interestingly, they are not the only royals with ties to Portugal. Princess Eugenie, Harry’s cousin, and her husband Jack Brooksbank also own a home in the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, located south of Lisbon. The two couples have been seen together, bonding over their roles as parents to young children.

In addition to their real estate ventures, Meghan has been active in community work, recently engaging with Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara. During her visit, she discussed her experiences with online bullying, aiming to empower young girls.

Meanwhile, Harry has been spotted surfing at a ranch in California, enjoying his time away from royal duties. Professional surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer shared footage of Harry's surfing skills, highlighting the fun and camaraderie of their time together.
