Weather Alert for All Continental Districts

All districts in mainland Portugal are under a yellow warning this Wednesday due to forecasts of heavy rain, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms. This warning, issued by the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), will be in effect from 12 PM to 9 PM.

The yellow warning, which is the least severe on a scale of three, is issued when there is a risk situation for specific activities dependent on weather conditions.

Weather Forecast

The IPMA forecasts a very cloudy sky today with periods of rain or showers that could be heavy at times, including hail and occasional thunderstorms, particularly in the northern and central interior during the early hours, and generally across the territory from the afternoon onward.

Additionally, there will be light to moderate winds, occasionally strong along the coastal strip south of Cabo Carvoeiro starting in the afternoon, especially in high-altitude areas in the center and south, along with a slight drop in temperature, particularly in the northern and central regions.

Temperature Expectations

Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 13°C (in Bragança, Guarda, and Viseu) to 18°C (in Faro, Lisbon, and Aveiro), while maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 16°C (in Guarda) and 25°C (in Aveiro).
