Slipknot Returns to Lisbon for an Epic Festival!
The American heavy metal band Slipknot is set to perform in Lisbon at the Evil Live festival in June 2025, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled album. This edition marks a significant change as it will be the first outdoor event held at the Estádio do Restelo, expanding to three days of metal madness from July 27 to July 29, 2025.
The announcement from Prime Artists describes this festival as a "historic edition", with Slipknot being the first confirmed act. Although the specific date of their performance has not yet been revealed, the excitement is palpable.
Slipknot made a memorable appearance at the inaugural Evil Live in 2023 and have a long history in Portugal, performing at various venues, including the Pavilhão Atlântico and the Ilha do Ermal festival back in 2001 and 2002.
In their recent concerts throughout 2024, the band has been showcasing tracks from their earlier albums, particularly the 1999 self-titled album, which includes hits like “Eyeless”, “Spit It Out”, and “Wait and Bleed”. They continue to energize audiences with songs from Iowa (2001) and Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) (2004), ensuring their legacy endures.
With a lineup that includes founding members like Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Corey Taylor, and Mick Thomson, Slipknot remains a powerhouse in the metal scene. They recently introduced new drummer Eloy Casagrande, enhancing their already dynamic performances.
