Weather Forecast for Thursday

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a weather forecast indicating partly cloudy skies with periods of increased cloudiness in the southern region and the interior of the northern and central regions.

Rain and Thunderstorms

Expect showers in the southern region, particularly strong in the Algarve region, where there are favorable conditions for thunderstorms, especially in the early morning hours.

Snow in the Central Region

In the central region, showers are also anticipated from the afternoon, with snow expected at elevations above 1000/1200 meters.

Wind and Temperature

The wind will generally be weak, predominantly blowing from the east, with moderate gusts in higher altitudes.

According to the IPMA, there is a possibility of morning fog in some areas, along with frost formation, particularly in the interior of the northern and central regions, and a slight decrease in maximum temperatures in the southern region.

Temperature Range

Maximum temperatures will range from 6°C in Guarda to 15°C in Faro, while minimum temperatures will vary from -1°C in Guarda and Vila Real to 6°C in Porto, Aveiro, and Faro.
