According to reports from Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) and CP – Comboios de Portugal, the catenary, which consists of a set of electrical infrastructures, reportedly caught fire, leading to the halt of train services in this section.
In a statement published on Facebook at 10:30 AM, IP confirmed that maintenance teams are already on-site to carry out the necessary repairs. They assured that efforts are underway to restore train circulation as quickly as possible.
