The Executive Direction of the National Health Service (SNS) is warning the public about potential constraints in emergency services over the upcoming weekend, particularly in Gynecology/Obstetrics and Pediatrics within the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region.
In a statement released to the press, the SNS emphasizes the importance of contacting the SNS 24/SNS Grávida hotline at 808242424 before heading to a hospital. This call will initiate a triage process that helps determine the most appropriate response for each case, thereby alleviating the burden on emergency services for truly urgent situations.
On August 31st and September 1st, there will be 154 emergency services available, with 4 referred services and 13 closed. Of these, 9 are related to Gynecology and Obstetrics, with 7 located in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region.
