PS Reacts to Latest Polls
The Socialist Party (PS) has responded to a recent poll published by DIÁRIO, which indicates that the distribution of party strength in the regional parliament remains nearly unchanged. The PS is projected to secure 11 deputies with 18.6% of the votes from the Aximage poll respondents.
A Call to Undecided Voters
Paulo Cafôfo, the leader and head of the Socialist candidacy, believes that the undecided voters will play a crucial role in the upcoming election on March 23. He states, "We have seen various polls, and it seems clear now that no party will achieve an absolute majority."
Cafôfo emphasizes, "It is indeed possible for a political change to occur with a government led by the PS, in conjunction with other political forces. The polls show fluctuations, but one thing is certain: the undecided will determine the election outcome."
The Importance of Voting
In his appeal, he insists that those who do not wish to see the status quo continue should vote for the Socialist Party. He argues that undecided voters, who do not currently align with any party, should support the PS as it represents a guarantee for change and a stable, lasting government.
Cafôfo adds, "This change will require people to take a stand. Those who choose not to vote and stay home will have no grounds to complain, as things will only worsen. Others will make their choice. However, those wanting to avoid continuity must not vote for the PSD or Miguel Albuquerque, as that would lead to a temporary government prone to collapse under legal scrutiny. A coalition with PSD and Chega is equally undesirable due to the instability it brings."
