30 Entities Join Forces for Water Availability in Alentejo and Algarve

The municipalities of Odemira, Ourique, and Aljezur, in collaboration with Lusomorango, are set to host the inaugural meeting of the "Water for the Future" Movement on November 5th at 10:00 AM at the Santa Clara Country Hotel. This initiative aims to mobilize economic agents in these regions to address the urgent need for solutions that ensure water availability for diverse uses, thereby safeguarding the sustainability of these territories and their populations.

The meeting will feature the presentation of the "Water for the Future" Manifesto, which will be signed by approximately 30 entities, including municipal chambers, businesses, and sector associations from industries such as tourism, agriculture, and national sector associations from the Sudoeste Alentejano and Algarve regions.

Additionally, the session will present the study "Interconnection Alqueva – Santa Clara – Odelouca: Reinforcement of Supply for Sudoeste Alentejano and Algarve based on flows derived from the Alqueva system", outlining the movement's proposals and claims.
