For the tenth consecutive year, Madeira has been recognized as the Best Island Destination at the World Travel Awards (WTA). This prestigious event, often referred to as the ‘Oscars of Tourism’, is currently taking place in Funchal at the Savoy Palace, attended by numerous guests and prominent figures from the global tourism industry.
The region faced tough competition from highly recognized destinations such as Bali, Barbados, Cook Islands, Cozumel, Crete, Fiji, Hawaii, Jamaica, Maldives, Mallorca, Mauritius, Saint Lucia, Sardinia, Seychelles, Singapore, Tahiti, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Zanzibar.
