A tragic accident occurred in Sesimbra, located in the Setúbal district, involving a motorcycle and a car. The motorcycle rider, a 47-year-old man, lost his life in the collision, while the car driver fled the scene.

The car's owner has since filed a report with the GNR (National Republican Guard) claiming that his vehicle was stolen after the incident. According to sources from the GNR, the owner went to a local station on the southern bank to report the theft shortly after the accident happened on Saturday afternoon.

As of now, the driver's identity remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing to determine who was behind the wheel during the collision. The GNR has refrained from disclosing whether the vehicle involved in the accident has been located. Witnesses did provide the authorities with the license plate number of the fleeing car, which may assist in the investigation.
