Portugal to Host European Orienteering Championships in 2028
The European Orienteering Championships (EOC) will take place in Portugal in 2028, marking an exciting opportunity for the world’s top orienteers to prepare for the unique Iberian terrains.
This championship will also serve as the final event in the 2028 World Cup, as decided by the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) Council during their meeting on October 4, 2024. The event is scheduled to occur in October or November 2028 in Aguiar de Beira, located in the northeast of the country, which previously hosted the JWOC 2022.
Portugal has a history of hosting the EOC, having previously held it in 2014 in Palmela.
