The IPMA (Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere) warns that cold weather is on its way to Lisbon, with a gradual drop in maximum and minimum temperatures throughout the week. Rain is expected to start on Friday, the 15th.

What to Expect?

According to the IPMA, this weather change is due to a blocking anticyclonic regime. Precipitation is not expected to be heavy, but light showers may occur until the end of the week.

  • Temperature Drop: Starting Wednesday, the 14th, maximum temperatures will drop to 17Âș Celsius and minimums will hit 8ÂșC.
  • Midweek Chills: On Wednesday, expect temperatures between 9ÂșC (minimum) and 15ÂșC (maximum). The next day, the minimum will decrease slightly to 8ÂșC, with a maximum of 17ÂșC.
  • Rainy Friday: Temperatures will rise again on Friday to 19ÂșC (maximum) and 12ÂșC (minimum), but the IPMA warns of possible precipitation.
  • Gloomy Weekend: The weekend won't be much better, with temperatures ranging from 13ÂșC to 19ÂșC, and rain expected to last until late Sunday.
