Ricky Gervais is Coming to Lisbon!
The acclaimed British comedian Ricky Gervais has announced the first dates for his upcoming European tour featuring his latest comedy special, Mortality, which follows his previous work, Armageddon. Lisbon will have the pleasure of hosting Gervais on February 27, 2025, at the MEO Arena.
"We are all going to die. The best thing is to laugh about it. Mortality examines the absurdities of life and death. Bring it on!"
With this optimistic note, Gervais describes his new comedy special that has been making waves on the road. The European tour will also include a recording for Netflix, similar to his previous specials, including Humanity (2018), SuperNature (2022), and Armageddon (2023), the latter winning a Golden Globe for Best Stand-Up Comedy Performance on Television.
Tickets for the show will be available starting this Wednesday, October 9, at 10:00 AM, with a portion of the proceeds once again going to animal welfare organizations. At the end of the Armageddon tour, Gervais donated £1.91 million (approximately €1.4 million) to these causes.
