Three cyclists were struck by a car on the morning of Sunday, March 30, along the Marginal Avenue near Praia da Torre in Oeiras, heading from Carcavelos to Lisbon. Reports from Correio da Manhã indicate that the driver fled the scene.

Two of the victims, one with minor injuries and another seriously hurt, were transported to São Francisco Xavier Hospital in Lisbon. The third victim, in critical condition, was transferred to São José Hospital, as confirmed by the Oeiras Volunteer Firefighters to Lusa.

The alert was raised around 8 AM. Upon arrival at the scene, the Oeiras Volunteer Firefighters found three victims from the collision. They dispatched 11 personnel to manage the incident, supported by four teams from the Public Security Police (PSP).

The cyclists are reported to be around 30 years old. Traffic was temporarily affected but has since returned to normal. Reported by Lusa.
