In the digital category, the winner is O que contam os tesouros esquecidos da arte em Lisboa by Simão Lucas Pires.
A Proud Moment for Mensagem
These innovative projects, which range from hidden stories in archives to neighborhood culture and culinary entrepreneurs, will be featured in Mensagem with contributions from its journalists and collaborators. “This fills us with pride for what it says about our knowledge and relationship with the city of Lisbon,” expressed the team.
Unique Support for Journalism in Portugal
This competition represents the only government support for journalism in Portugal, a crucial initiative during these challenging times for the media landscape. A total of 103 applications were submitted across various themes, including music, painting, cinema, and gastronomy. The jury, composed of notable figures such as Pedro Boucherie Mendes and Paula Moura Pinheiro, noted that most awards were given to journalists, communication professionals, and cultural associations.
The Lisboa, Cultura e Media program is set to continue in June, promising further opportunities for creativity and storytelling in journalism.
