15 Years of Promoting the Algarve's Car Rental Sector

The ARA – Algarve Rent-a-Car Association has been on a mission to promote and enhance the credibility of the car rental industry in the Algarve, aiming to boost the visibility and reputation of its member companies. On February 25, the association held a General Assembly at the Mónaco Hotel in Faro to commemorate its 15th anniversary.

This initiative also aims to strengthen communication with both members and clients, further enhancing the Algarve's image as a premier tourist destination.

Key Agenda Points

Among the significant items discussed at the assembly were:

• Approval of accounts for the fiscal year 2024.
• Celebration of the 15th anniversary of the association.
• Presentation of the communication plan for 2025.

The celebration was a moment for members and board members to reflect on the journey of the association since its inception. With over 30 member companies, the ARA aims to strengthen its role in defending the interests of car rental businesses in the region, contributing to a more sustainable and innovative sector.

During the assembly, ARA President Armando Santana emphasized the association's importance in elevating the sector and the region, stating, "The ARA aims to enhance the value of its members, the car rental sector, and the Algarve itself."

He further mentioned, "The ARA continuously works to strengthen the sector, ensuring quality and professionalism standards that benefit both our members and the clients who choose us."

Looking ahead, Santana noted that 2025 will be a pivotal year for the ARA, as they plan to implement a long-anticipated communication strategy with tools that will help achieve the association's goals.
