The Algarve is set to make a splash at the BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market 2025, showcasing a vibrant program that reflects the diversity and authenticity of the region. From March 12 to 16, the Algarve stand, located in Pavilion 1 of FIL, will be a dynamic hub of gastronomic, cultural, and natural experiences, bringing together industry professionals and the public for a unique journey through the Algarve territory.

Program Highlights

  • March 12 (Wednesday): Kick off with innovative project presentations, including “VRSA a Céu Aberto” and the certification of Albufeira as a Sustainable Tourism Destination. The afternoon will spotlight gastronomy and wines with sessions like “Laranja e Algarve – Brands that Cross and Complement” and “Algarve Golden Terroir”. Nature tourism and sustainability initiatives will also be featured.
  • March 13 (Thursday): The morning will host the 4th Edition of the National Agenda “Discovering Industrial Tourism”, led by Turismo de Portugal. Notable highlights include a talk by André Gomes, President of Turismo do Algarve, at 2 PM, discussing key strategies and initiatives for the region's tourism future, as part of the 55th Anniversary Celebrations of Algarve Tourism. Presentations will also include the Algarvensis Geopark and the “Albufeira European City of Sport” project.
  • March 14 (Friday): The first day open to the public will feature notable events, including presentations about the “Feira da Serra São Brás de Alportel 2025”, “Monte Gordo Sand Race”, and the “Festival do Contrabando”. Cultural presentations will include the “Historical Festival Vila Real de Santo António” and the “Discoveries Festival – The Great Adventure: from Lagos to Japan”.
  • March 15 (Saturday): Regional flavors will continue to delight visitors with events like “Amendoim em Festa” in Aljezur and a session on “Flavors of Monchique”.
