But once you pass the toll, a captivating view of the ocean greets you with the phrase: "Home is where the ocean is." This sets the stage for the Palmares Ocean Living & Golf, home to the acclaimed Al Sud restaurant.

The Dining Experience

The Al Sud Palmares restaurant is part of a larger residential resort that includes a boutique five-star hotel and a 27-hole golf course. The Michelin-starred dining experience is complemented by a casual atmosphere at the adjacent Clubhouse, where Mediterranean-inspired dishes are served.

Chef Anjos emphasizes a modern cuisine that creatively showcases the best of Algarve's natural produce, especially focusing on fresh fish and seafood sourced daily from the local fish market in Sagres. The menu features six or eight courses, and reservations are essential due to the restaurant's limited seating of just 24 guests.

An Exquisite Menu

  • Squid stuffed with its own head
  • Sole with textures of celery
