New Executive Team at APS

The newly appointed President of the Board, Pedro do Ó Ramos, is a Law graduate from the University of Lisbon, bringing a wealth of experience in both legal and political realms. He has dedicated significant time to public service and policies related to agriculture and the maritime sector.

His political career includes roles as Secretary of State for the Sea and Deputy in various legislatures, where he was actively involved in parliamentary committees focusing on agriculture and the sea, providing him with an extensive understanding of the sector. Additionally, he has served on the board of the National Housing Institute (INH) and led an urban regeneration project under the EEA Grants initiative.

Fernanda Nunes: Logistics and Port Management Expert

Fernanda Nunes brings vast experience in logistics and port management, having held prominent roles in the industry. Recently, she was the Director of the Lisbon/Setúbal branch of JOMATIR LOGISTICS, SA, and has also worked as Business Manager at MEDWAY SA and Logistics Manager at MSC. Currently, she is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Setúbal Polytechnic Institute, teaching logistics and port management.

Jaime Puna: Engineering and Research Background

Jaime Puna, who holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, has a strong academic and industry background. He has worked as a Production Chief in the chemical manufacturing sector and is now an Adjunct Professor at ISEL, focusing on various engineering disciplines. He has led research projects in bioenergy and is an accomplished author with numerous scientific publications.

Focus on International Shipping

With this new team in place, the focus remains on enhancing the positioning in international shipping, serving the port community, logistics, and industry of the Sines and Algarve ports, as well as supporting Iberian importers and exporters and contributing to the national economy.
