The suspect in the triple homicide at a barber shop in Lisbon has been deemed criminally responsible for the crimes. Fernando Silva, who has been in preventive detention for five months, is facing imminent charges from the Public Prosecutor's Office.

Background

Fernando Silva's psychiatric history, which includes treatment at the Júlio de Matos Hospital and two previous admissions, prompted the investigating judge to request a psychiatric evaluation. Incident Details

In early October last year, the 33-year-old entered the Grande Pente barber shop in the Vale neighborhood of Lisbon. After an exchange of words with the owner, Carlos Pina, who was later shot in the head, Silva exited the shop and killed two more individuals: a taxi driver waiting outside and a woman accompanying him. There was also an attempt on another barber's assistant, who managed to escape and is a key witness for the prosecution.

Escape and Arrest

With the help of family members, Silva managed to evade capture for a week, hiding just a few kilometers from his home. He has been in custody for five months now.

Legal Proceedings

Reports suggest that the charges against Silva are nearing completion. If they are not finalized by next month, he may be released due to excessive preventive detention. Silva faces charges for three counts of qualified homicide and one attempted count, along with suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm.
