About the Show

Hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and Sónia Araújo, this evening promises thrilling performances as 6 acts will progress to the Grand Final of Festival da Canção 2025.

FdC 2025

The Festival da Canção 2025 consists of three shows (two semi-finals and a grand final) scheduled for 22 February, 1 March, and 8 March at RTP Studios in Lisbon. The Grand Final will be on Saturday, 8 March 2025.

A total of 20 acts will vie for the chance to represent Portugal at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, with 10 acts in each semi-final and the top 6 from each progressing.

Notably, 14 composers were invited to submit songs, with 6 selected through public choice. The final entry will be determined by a 50/50 public televoting and jury deliberation.

Portugal in Eurovision

Portugal has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since 1964, winning once in 2017 with Salvador Sobral’s Amor pelo dois. The country has hosted the contest successfully and has competed 54 times in total.
