Two Arrested for Vandalizing Lisbon Metro

In the early hours of Tuesday, two men aged 26 and 29 were arrested by PSP (Public Security Police) in Pontinha, Odivelas, after illegally entering the Lisbon Metro carriage park to spray paint several trains. They are also facing charges of damage.

According to the PSP, officers were alerted to the presence of the suspects at the Pontinha station, where they were found graffitiing parked trains. Upon arrival, the police caught the duo in the act.

The Chase

When the suspects spotted the police, they attempted to flee through the tunnel, trying to escape via the emergency exit. However, the officers pursued them and managed to intercept them while still inside the metro tracks. During the arrest, police confiscated backpacks, spray cans, gloves, and a paint roller among other materials.
