Major Sale in the Portuguese Retail Landscape
Spanish socimi Trajano, managed by DWS, has successfully liquidated its portfolio by selling the Nosso Shopping shopping centre in Vila Real, Portugal for an impressive 78.83 million euros.
The buyer, L Catterton, is the investment arm of the French luxury goods powerhouse LVMH, which owns Louis Vuitton. This shopping centre boasts a strategic location with no competition within a 100-kilometre radius. It features approximately 21,000 square metres of gross leasable area and 1,000 parking spaces.
According to Trajano, the mall is an iconic building renowned for its architecture, comprising three floors and housing major brands such as Inditex, FNAC, and Sportzone, along with an Alcampo hypermarket and various dining options.
Previously acquired in 2015 for 53 million euros, the shopping centre achieved 100% occupancy through various management initiatives, significantly contributing to the success of this sale. This transaction follows the recent sale of the Alcalá Magna shopping center in Madrid for 96.3 million euros, marking a swift liquidation of Trajano's assets, as both centres were put on the market in June of the previous year.
