The dry winter that marked the start of the new year is about to end. According to forecasts from the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), rain is set to return to Lisbon this Sunday, January 19, and will likely continue until the end of next week.

Temperature Changes Ahead

Temperatures are also expected to change. This Sunday, for instance, the minimum temperature could drop to 5ÂșC, with a maximum reaching 12ÂșC. Following this, a slight increase in temperatures will accompany the rainfall. The week will kick off with rain and mild temperatures on Monday, January 20, where thermometers will fluctuate between 11ÂșC and 15ÂșC.

On Tuesday, January 21, expect the week’s highest temperatures, with an overall increase of 2ÂșC compared to Monday. By Wednesday, January 22, the first breaks in the clouds will occur, with temperatures ranging from 12ÂșC to 15ÂșC. On January 23 and 24, the minimum temperature will drop by two degrees to 10ÂșC.

Weekend Forecast

For the weekend, anticipate a slight decrease in both maximum and minimum temperatures. On Saturday, the maximum temperature will drop by one degree to 14ÂșC, while the minimum remains at 10ÂșC. On Sunday, the maximum stays the same, but the minimum will lower by 1ÂșC. Don't forget, the rain will also persist during the weekend!
