Storm Laurence is forecasted to hit the Algarve starting Sunday afternoon, March 16, bringing heavy rain at times. According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), this depression will enter mainland Portugal through the Algarve, which will be under a yellow warning from 6 PM on Sunday until midnight on Monday.
The rain is expected to spread to other regions, with an increase in wind intensity anticipated on the 17th, particularly in the southern areas.
The sea agitation will escalate, especially from the 17th onwards along the entire coastline, with a yellow warning already in effect for areas south of Cabo Mondego.
