After a fresh but pleasant Saturday, today's calm weather is a brief respite. However, don't get too comfortable as bad weather is expected to return tomorrow. The IPMA forecasts mostly cloudy skies today, with light winds under 20 km/h predominantly from the west, and a slight increase in temperature is possible. In Funchal, expect similarly cloudy conditions with winds under 15 km/h, making it even more tranquil. In maritime conditions, the Northern coast may see waves from the Northwest reaching heights of 4 to 4.5 meters, gradually decreasing to 2.5 to 3 meters. Meanwhile, the Southern coast can expect waves of 1 to 2 meters, and up to 3 meters on the western part of Madeira. The sea temperature will range between 19 and 20º Celsius.
For further details, the Funchal Port Captaincy has updated the weather situation until 6 PM tomorrow, February 16, noting the cancellation of the strong wind warning but maintaining warnings for strong maritime agitation.
